Job Purpose: Work under the supervision of Engineers and Senior Designers to produce solid models and production drawings for customer orders. This includes making detailed drawings, processing paperwork, and maintaining schedules. Job Duties: • Work under supervision of Engineers to produce solid models and production drawings for customer orders • Ensure that assigned orders are processed through the Engineering Department according to company policy • Produce solid models using Inventor CAD software • Ensure that all necessary drawings are produced for each customer order with sufficient views and production notes to provide a smooth workflow through Production Control and Manufacturing • Check work to ensure that dimensions, BOMs, dxf files are accurate, and assemblies contain no gaps nor interferences. • Properly store all models and drawings in the Autodesk Vault according to company policy. • Maintain a drawing schedule. This includes notifying immediate supervisor when drawing issues arise, product requirements change, or when schedules are compromised • Become familiar with applying ANSI Y14.5 for drawing dimension and tolerance practices and applying ANSI/AWS A2-4 for standard drawing symbols for welding and brazing • Learn the assigned product line, and how the product line is manufactured at Eriez • Participate in Continuous Improvement Programs • Work overtime hours as directed by immediate supervisor • Perform tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor Requirements Qualifications required to perform job: • Possess basic drafting skills with the ability to identify when fractional and decimal dimensions and tolerances are required. We are currently hiring a Mechanical Engineer in our Building Engineering Division at our Latham, NY office. The Building Engineering Division at LaBella provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Services range from feasibility studies and analysis through project design and construction. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Mechanical Engineer will work with engineers as part of a project team to provide HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs, studies and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services. A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports for Building and Renovation projects. Responsibilities System selection and calculations for design purposes Conduct field work to document existing conditions Work with Jr Engineers to develop drawings with building modeling software Work independently and as part of a team to complete project designs Construction phase services such as submittal review and site visits to monitor project progress Requirements 4 – 6 years of experience working at an A/E consulting firm is preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred Well rounded experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection Experience with Revit or AutoCAD is preferred Field experience is preferred New York State Professional Engineer’s license is a plus Ability to work well with a team and good analytical skills Salary Range: ($70,000 - $90,000) The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. 2nd and 3rd shift positions.  Sign-on Bonus available!  Hourly wage up $34.56 per hour! Great benefits after 30 days employment, including paid vacation! Service, maintain, repair and install new and existing welding robotic equipment (FANUC). Troubleshoot problems with robots and welding processes and ability to fix and correct issues. Support Production and Quality teams in achieving World Class Manufacturing. Perform preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment. Service, maintain, repair, install and test new or existing equipment and verify conformance to specifications. (Robot/Welding/Fixtures) Complete repairs, modifications and installations as required. Provide plant support in troubleshooting of process problems including root cause and completes quality improvements as required to maintain part standards of quality. Establish cross functional team for reliability issues Deal extensively with production team and other support groups as well as vendors (both parts suppliers and equipment suppliers). Department support for testing, repairing and calibrating electric or electronic components. Validates reliability issues with components and investigates repeat component failures. Requirements Minimum of 2 year of Fanuc robotic production support using a FANUC teach pendant Robotic MIG, spot, and material handling experience preferred. Fronius and BOSCH robotic welding background preferred. Knowledge and ability to use a voltage meter.  Background with robotic dress packs preferred. Background in troubleshooting welding issues with a robotic MIG welder and robotic SPOT welder preferred. Experience with robotic adhesive and sealer programming preferred. Background in projection welding and stud welding preferred. Additional Information Overtime and shift rotation may be required to meet production expectations. The Skilled Trades Technician may be exposed to elements such as temperature and noise during time spent in the plant. Consistently safely operates forklifts, aerial lifts, floor scrubbers.  Must be able to work off a ladder, aerial lift or plant roof at heights up to 40 feet off ground level. Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 40 lbs multiple times and unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, walking or sweeping for extended periods of time. Ability to obtain and retain a valid passport is required.
