LANDSCAPER POSITION POSITION SUMMARY A landscaper maintains grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. A landscaper typically performs a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, irrigation repairs and gutter cleaning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Care for established lawns by weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. • Install and maintain irrigation systems. • Gather and remove litter from landscape. • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges. • Water lawns, trees, or plants. • Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage. QUALIFICATIONS   • Must be able to do landscaping maintenance at the highest level. • Must be able to work with all power tool and hand tools. • Must be able to use a mower, string trimmer, hedger etc. • Ability to work well with a team or alone. Must be physically able to lift 50lbs or more. Able to continuously bend, lift, squat and be on your feet for 8 hours. • Must have reliable transportation and drivers license. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • 1 year experience. • Experience with irrigation and installation helpful. • Experience with tree trimming helpful. EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, VEHICLE • Landscaping tools. • Power tools and hand tool. Reads blue prints and instructions to determine the kind and amount of work necessary. Calculates costs and negotiates prices. Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition. Follows all safety protocols and guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma / GED Proven experience as a finish painter in commercial, residential, or industrial settings. Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finish application. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
