Overview: Maintain, repair and assist in the operation of chairlifts by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions and performing training to operators. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees' job is to get and keep guests. Responsibilities: Ensures proper operation of chairlifts and personnel by completing preventative maintenance of APU's, electric motors and line gear following manufacturers' maintenance manuals; troubleshooting malfunctions and training personnel in the proper operation. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and checking for overheating. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using come-a-longs, cranes, heavy equipment, rigging, hand and power tools; examining and diagnosing cause of failure and correcting the condition. Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventory and conserves resources by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate equipment, parts and supplies and using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Prepares operational and maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information. Maintains technical knowledge and continuity. Contributes to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions. Meets service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 year experience with Lifts.

The Eames Institute is in search of a Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance of our 15,000-square-foot (and growing) campus in Richmond, CA. Reporting to the Senior Director of Properties, this role is responsible for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our staff, guests, and collections. The Facilities Technician will play a key role in maintaining the overall safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of our campus, which currently operates out of two buildings and will soon expand into a third.
