If you are an experienced Gardener / Landscaper with experience in pruning or building hardscapes we would love to hear from you! RESPONSIBILITIES: - You will maintain all aspects of residential landscapes including weeding, mulching, mowing, blowing, edging, pruning and planting. - Apply fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides under the direction of your lead. - Meet deadlines while still maintaining high standards. - Follow daily procedures. (time/ tool check/ tool return/ etc.) - Work outdoors in varying terrain/ weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and teamwork mentality. - Communicate with your lead to ensure the completion of daily maintenance, special projects, appropriate paperwork and customer requests. REQUIREMENTS - Two years experience preferred. - Knowledge of and ability to use landscaping and grounds maintenance tools. - Knowledge of how to operate walk-behind lawn mowers. - Ability to differentiate between weeds and ornamental plants. - Multitasking - Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. - Experience in pruning & small construction(rock walls, pathways, patios, etc.) a plus. -Valid driver license a plus. - Experience in painting is a PLUS - MUST have Drivers License We enjoy and cultivate our career oriented environment. Chappaqua church is seeking an EXPERIENCED Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous custodial and janitorial experience and will be responsible for performing routine cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The main goal of this role is to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our congregation, nursery school and visitors. This is a full-time, Monday- Friday position. Salary range is $20-25 per hour, commensurate on experience. Duties include, but not limited to: Clean/sanitize restroom facilities; Clean/sanitize nursery school classrooms; Mop, sweep and vacuum floors throughout building; Handle garbage; Shampoo carpets and rugs; light landscaping and snow shoveling. Skills to have: Proficient in custodial and facilities maintenance tasks; handyman skills (painting, carpentry, lawn care etc.) a plus; Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness; Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heights.
