About the Role The Sportsbook Ticket Writer is responsible providing excellent customer service by accepting wagers for various sports events and verifying and cashing winning sport book tickets. Position Responsibilities Accurately input patron wager requests into the sports wagering system Manage a cash drawer for accepting sports wagers and paying out winning tickets Maintain an appropriate understanding of popular wagers, odds, and bet types for various sporting events. Stay apprised of major leagues, teams and player news. Communicate wagering rules to patrons and respond to any patron questions or concerns Be aware of any unusual betting patterns that may indicate a violation of betting guidelines and report to the Shift Manager Detect any customer who may be at risk of Responsible Gambling issues and report to the Shift Manager Essential Functions Physical Requirements: Stand for the entire shift and move throughout the property. Flexible Schedule: Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Environmental Exposure: Work in a casino environment with exposure to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers. Physical Ability: Lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds. Requirements Minimum one (1) year prior cashiering/money handling experience preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Must be computer competent with the aptitude to learn new systems. About the Role The Casino Host is responsible for providing outstanding guest services to the guests of the Ocean Casino Resort Position Responsibilities Promote Ocean Casino Resort ’s Loyalty Card by making contact with perspective members, explaining the benefits and answering questions about membership through use of invitations, telemarketing techniques, email and direct player contact Actively pursues new Loyalty Card prospects and promote the benefits of the Loyalty Card program. This is a highly visible position both on and off Casino property, which requires professional behavior and appearance at all times. Devotes significant time being visible and available on the casino floor in order to meet and greet guests during individual visits as well during special events. Works with and supports player development by meeting customers and attending to customer needs. Essential Functions Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment. Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours. Requirements College Degree preferred with an emphasis on Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent field preferred Must have a minimum of one (1) year Casino Guest Service experience, including but not limited to Player Development, Slots, or Table Games. One (1) year of hosting experience with adequate customer following preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and sales skills required.
