JOB SUMMARY The Parts Finisher performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products in addition to completing routine tasks of hand washing or operating the ultra-sonic wash machine to clean manufactured components.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Deburs parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools. Loads and unloads materials or parts from washer to specified area. Immerses objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris. Washes parts in ultrasonic machine or solvent, dries parts, examines parts, removes debris. Measures and pours soap or chemical into wash water, set controls to regulate cycle of wash and water temperature. Inspects parts, some under microscope. Responsible for Heli-Coil installation Completes parts assembly (non-electronic parts) and packaging. Completes paperwork. Operates a pallet jack / other moving equipment. REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor as needed. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to recognize and sort materials. Ability to operate machinery. Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred. High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. Ability read, write, and speak English fluently.   PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work. Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.

In this position, you will be responsible for assembling various components according to blueprints and schematics. They verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers. Key Responsibilities: Use specialized tools and fixtures electrical and mechanical to complete assembly. Basic electrical knowledge to connect power to electrical devices. Able to assemble and charge basic magnetic circuits. Able to operate the ceramic saw. Work where needed, as directed by immediate a supervisor or leadman.  Willing to learn new job skills pertaining to magnetic assembly and other assigned duties. Willing and able to work with others as required. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or leadman. Mechanical experience preferred. Stand, sit, push, pull lift up to 50lbs. Maintain clean and safe work area. Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor. Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc. Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system. Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Requirements A high school diploma is preferred. More than 2 years of general assembly job experience or specialized training Knowledge of how to weld and operate a Mig welder. Willingness to tackle a flexible schedule and on-time arrival for shifts. It’s a benefit if you’ve worked with powered and manual tools before. Requires basic math and technical skills.
