Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vascular ultrasound assessments on patients, specifically targeting the lower extremities, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout the process.  Position Details:  Location: Fox Chapel, Wexford and South Hills. (Out of state training) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Compensation: $40-$45hr based on experience and qualifications.   Key Responsibilities:  Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations to create detailed reports for physicians to help formulate safe and effective treatment plans.  Work collaboratively with physicians to explain the examination results and proposed treatment options to patients.  Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including the setup and cleanup of equipment and supplies before and after each patient.  Ensure adherence to timelines for ultrasound exams to maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.  Coordinate with administrative and medical staff to guarantee the availability and timely delivery of ultrasound services.  Commit to continuous professional development and education to meet the standards set by the organization.  Participate in maintaining ultrasound equipment and monitoring inventory for supplies.  Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or clinic management.  Requirements Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program, Required Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RpHS), certification within 90 days of employment. We have a new opening for a Physical Therapist at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks: Duties may include but are not limited to: • Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF. • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient. • Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function. • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. • Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology. • Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment. • Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems. • Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required. • Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.   Additional Duties: • Possess knowledge of physical therapy theory, professional medical rehabilitation and therapeutic principles and extensive clinical experience and training to develop individual treatment plans based upon the documented objective findings from the evaluation process. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the clinical presentation following concussive and traumatic experiences, including evaluation and treatment of the range of physical, cognitive and psychosocial sequel impacting functional performance. Possess a knowledge and skill of an array of restorative and compensatory modalities to maximize independent functioning for beneficiaries requiring care for cognitive, psychosocial and physical dysfunction. • Administer treatments involving application of physical agents, using equipment such as a pulsed lavage unit and/or whirlpool bath, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Administer manual therapy techniques including soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology. Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment. • Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification as required. Provide documented treatment and discharge recommendations to members of the staff in routine, emergency, and special cases as needed. • Provide technical direction to assistants, technicians, aides, students, etc., in the performance of their work activities. Provide input and attend rehabilitation team meetings, seminars, and quality assurance meetings. Participate in peer review activities. Provide therapeutic oversight and support to Occupational/Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and other clinical support staff. As required, attend rehabilitation team meetings, seminars, and quality assurance meetings during regular work hours. • Present and analyze extensive program data/interrelationships and coordinate the preparation of accurate and reasonable program plans and proposals and be highly skilled in applying complex fact finding, analytical and problem-solving techniques. • Perform Return to Duty examinations. Review and examine effectiveness of the program, collate reports, analyze data and determine best practice methodology path to move forward. Schedule: Monday - Friday  6:00am - 4:00pm - 8, 9 or 10 hour shifts depending on the department's needs No Holidays or Weekends! Requirements Minimum Qualifications: • Degree: Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002. • Education: Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). • Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 5 years as a physical therapist actively practicing in an outpatient orthopedic or sports physical therapy setting. • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist. • Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification. • Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance. The Case Manager is responsible managing an assigned caseload of clients having mental illness or substance abuse use and for assessing client needs, developing, implementing, and reviewing service plans, and working with other community resources in meeting/achieving client service. Assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates options to facilitate the continuum of care including pre-discharge planning with appreciate guardians or family member, follow-up appointments, housing, and transportation arrangements upon discharge. Essential Duties: Accepts newly assigned cases in which the diagnostic intake has been completed by a licensed provider. Completes case management assessment on all clients entering caseload. Develops appropriate treatment/service plans with clients as the means for implementing appropriate services and developing effective alliances with clients. Provides on-going supportive case management functions in accordance with the problems, needs, and the strategies identified within the service plan to help the clients achieve the stated goals and objectives. Participates as directed in the screening of new service requests within the clinic by means of and agency approved procedure. Provides face to face reviews with the client on a regular basis to assess the progress made in reaching service goals so that the service plan can be modified as necessary. Documents all service contacts on a timely basis including face-to-face interviews, collateral and networking contacts, correspondence and maintains the case records. Access to daily admission report with purpose of effectively meeting new patients to coordinate discharge planning. Meet with patients/contact patient guardian to complete required activities i.e. obtain collateral information regarding living arrangements, patient request and MD ordered activities. Educates patients regarding effective allocation of community mental health resources while encouraging provision of high-quality patient care. Document appropriately gained legal authority to communicate with family members to gain collateral information through ROI. Notify appropriate person of any patients needing to be court ordered due to inability to obtain consent for treatment. Complete insurance bridges as appropriate and communicate with insurance case managers regarding updates, incidences, and discharge planning. Attend Discharge and Treatment Team meetings and all meetings relative to case management/ social functions. Maintains current knowledge of case management/social services, discharge planning, and stay abreast of hospital programs and services provided. Completes discharge and aftercare planning packages in advance of discharge date, typically 1-2 days prior to discharge, when discharge is projected. Performs other duties, as requested. Requirements Education and/or Licensure – Bachelor’s degree preferred in field of Social Work or Social Services – or high school diploma and a minimum of two (2) year’s equivalent work experience required. Experience – Two years’ experience in healthcare or healthcare-related case management or coordination duties – or one (1) year related experience in a psychiatric health care facility; direct practice in mental health treatment and experience in crisis intervention and customer service preferred. Additional Requirements – Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and SAMA training within 30 days of hire. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required. Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and function calmly in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy. Ability to exercise appropriate judgment in answering questions and releasing information in accordance with HIPAA and Personal Health Information Act requirements; analyze and project consequences of decisions and/or recommendations.
