PART-TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT (Honolulu)

ONE OR TWO IMMEDIATE PART-TIME OPENINGS AVAILABLE - One PART-TIME position available in each of our Honolulu and Ewa clinics. BOTH positions are available for the proper candidate. We need experienced, caring, thoughtful, dependable, punctual, friendly, and sincere people to help our Primary Care clinic. Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Honolulu. Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon in Ewa. Candidates must have completed MA training and must have current CPR certification. New graduates will be considered, although preference will be given to candidates with more years of clinical work experience. Excellent team skills and communication abilities are mandatory. Responsibilities will vary depending on patient count but will include both front-office and back-office work: Telephone calls (in-coming and out-going) Patient acceptance and registration Scheduling appointments and referrals Verifying insurance coverage Accepting co-payments Filing reports and results Checking patients in Taking accurate current and past medical histories Accurately record vital signs Entering pertinent information into the medical record Computer skills are mandatory - we are completely electronic, from registration and intake through billing and scheduling. Punctuality is critical and regular attendance is very important. We adhere to all current Covid-19 outpatient protective recommendations.
