AHRC IS HIRING DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS, RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION COUNSELORS, JOB COACHES & FIELD SUPERVISORS!! TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH INTERVIEW ON THE SPOT-WALK-INS: 1 PM-2 PM CORONA LIBRARY: 38-23 104th St, Corona, NY 11368 DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL: $17/hr-$19.36/hr Requirements: Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred. Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST! Ability to use a computer for data entry. High school education/GED, highly preferred. JOB COACH:$19/hr-$23/hr Requirements: One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual. May include early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience preferred Understanding of Person Centered Planning. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including effective writing and oral communication skills. High school diploma or GED. FIELD SUPERVISOR:45,000-50,000 Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years supervisory experience in Home care field or 4-5 years of Direct Support work experience plus 1-2 years supervisory responsibilities required. Strong computer and statistical reporting skills essential. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with broad range of stakeholders and in writing. Willingness to travel to home sites required. Bilingual language skills a definite plus. RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION COUNSELOR:$20/hr Requirements: Experience with the I/DD population is Preferred but not required. AHRC NYC provides additional trainings for those starting or changing career paths. Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills; patience; sensitivity and commitment to working with the I/DD population. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Willingness to support people’s preference for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights, etc. in various settings.
