Hello job seekers! We’re Waterfall Shuttle a local business that shows off the best of the Columbia River Gorge to visitors and we have a tour guide position available. Compensation for tour guides starts at $20/hr + tips and goes to $25/hr once training is completed. The bus is stored in Gresham, you drive it from there to Downtown Portland hotels where you pick up your guests, drive them to the waterfalls, lead them on short hikes, and then bring them back to their hotel. On days when we run two tours your shift may be over 12 hours long. Must have experience being a tour guide (or similar customer facing position) and driving large vehicles. For this position we're looking for someone with some flexibility in their schedule. The position is for 1-2 - 6 - 8 hour shifts per week on the weekend. You'll know 24 hours before the tour start time if there's a tour, no tour, or two tours going the next day. Most days you'll have at least one tour/day though it's not guaranteed. The Station Chef aids the Kitchen Leadership team in daily operations. Station Chefs assist in the kitchens, cooking, prepping, ensuring the kitchens are stocked, FIFO, and the team is set up for success. This role requires a self-starter work ethic, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for food service and food safety. The Station Chef communicates regularly with Kitchen Leadership and is active in the continuous improvement process. This role also requires that you can work and know the ins and outs of all Fort George food service and cooking lines. This non-managerial role does not have the authority to hire, fire, make decisions for recruitment, terminations, performance reviews, or any other terms & conditions of employment. Varying schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates. Essential Functions: Routinely work all hourly BOH roles as business and staffing are needed or directed by Kitchen Leadership.
