The Cavalier is seeking dedicated managers to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and supporting our service teams. Responsibilities: -Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction -Lead and support front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment -Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling to maintain a high-performing team -Uphold service standards, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations -Collaborate with management and culinary teams to enhance service execution -Handle administrative tasks, including inventory oversight and operational reporting Qualifications: -Previous experience in a restaurant leadership role (floor manager, supervisor, or similar) -Strong understanding of front-of-house operations and service excellence -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment -Ability to lead by example and maintain composure under pressure -Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and operational procedures The restaurant is open on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day - availability for both holidays is non negotiable. Night Prep Cook/Pitmaster with Smokin J's BBQ (Poway)
The night pitmaster position is one of the most important positions at our restaurant. You will be in charge of our two 1,000 gallon smokers as well as a good-sized prep list. Must have prep experience, solid knife skills, and a lot of self motivation as you will be working alone for a large part of the shift. This is a full-time position and we need someone that can work FIVE consecutive nights a week. Ideally, if hired you would work a week at the 4am-12pm shift, a week during the day, and then transition to the night shift from 6:30p-3a during your third week.
