Located in beautiful Waimea on the Big Island, we are expanding our operations and looking for passionate Freight Farmers to join our team. What You'll Do As a Freight Farmer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Freight Farm container farms. This is a hands-on role where you will be directly involved in all stages of the growing process, from seeding to harvest. Your responsibilities will include: Planting and harvesting: Seeding, transplanting, and harvesting a variety of leafy greens, herbs, and other crops. Monitoring crop health: Regularly checking for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. System maintenance: Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of the hydroponic systems and equipment. Data logging: Recording important growing data, including pH, EC (electrical conductivity), and temperature. Packaging: Preparing and packaging fresh produce for delivery to our local partners and customers. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for sustainable agriculture. We value individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Key qualifications: Experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
