Lead Bartender/Manager (Lower East Side)

On weekday evenings, we operate as a laid-back, comfortable cocktail lounge where guests can relax and savor expertly crafted drinks. On weekends, we transform into a high-energy, high-volume bar where efficiency and speed are critical to success. We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Bar Manager to lead our beverage program and staff across these two distinct concepts. Key Responsibilities Menu Innovation: Develop and maintain a forward-thinking cocktail menu, balancing classic techniques with fresh, original creations. Volume & Velocity: Implement strategies for efficient, high-volume service during peak weekend hours, including batching cocktails for speed and consistency. Talent Development: Lead and mentor a team of talented bartenders, fostering their growth and ensuring they deliver exceptional service, whether it's an intimate Tuesday evening or a bustling Saturday night. Quality Control: Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of presentation, taste, and cleanliness across both concepts. Team Leadership: Inspire, manage, and schedule staff with common sense and clear communication to ensure everyone is aligned with our vision. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in the bar industry, including supervisory or management roles. Advanced knowledge of classic cocktails and a proven ability to create compelling new recipes. Experience with batching cocktails and managing a high-volume service environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective team management. A passion for hospitality and a calm, decisive demeanor under pressure.
