The Concessions Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service and operating the POS/Cash register in the Jockey Club to ensure an accurate and smooth flow of customer traffic. This part-time position averages 24 hours weekly, scheduled Friday through Sunday and on major holidays. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following: • Greet guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. • Provide information about the food and beverage offerings and take patron orders. • Ensure that patron needs are met promptly and resolve any issues or concerns with a positive and solution-oriented attitude. • Respond appropriately to patron complaints. • Inputs orders at the point of sale and creates a receipt for a cash or credit card transaction • Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions. • Verifies the validity of charges, receives payment from guests, and, when cash is tendered, refunds the accurate change. • Manage cash drawers, balancing them at the beginning and end of each shift and reporting discrepancies as needed. • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to facility standards and safety regulations. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession area, including countertops, food displays, and utensils. • Restock food and beverage supplies as needed, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed. • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment, including cleaning tables, counters, and floors as needed. • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff. • Collaborate with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations and provide support during busy times. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
