Currently, Ain’t Normal seeks a barista. We’re looking for the right person who is willing and passionate to learn. Desired Experience: 1-2 years experience in customer facing role. The ideal candidate is: -Available to work 4-5 shifts per week (must be available weekends) -One who takes pride in their work. Good coffee tastes good! -Open-minded and striving to make coffee accessible and approachable to everyone -A team player that is able to collaborate and communicate directly with co-workers and managers -A mindset tailored to cleanliness and upkeep of the workplace -Organized, efficient, and able to perform required barista and retail tasks in a fast paced environment -Enthusiastic about opportunities to learn, train, and foster a fun but professional atmosphere Responsibilities: -Prepare coffee in a variety of brew methods (espresso, pour over, cold brew, and batch brewing) in a high capacity cafe -Provide excellent service to all Ain’t Normal customers with an open mind -Execute opening and closing tasks in a clean and timely manner -Execute daily, weekly, and monthly workplace checklists, chores, and side-work -Maintain overall cleanliness and quality control of cafe space and its products -Organize stock areas (paper goods, dairy, coffee, retail, etc.) using the first-in first-out method -Attend check-ins with management -Attend mandatory team meetings and/or trainings -Seek knowledge, ask questions, and continue learning so the Ain’t Normal team may learn with you -To successfully perform essential job duties, required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less -The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills and the ability to follow oral/written instructions and procedures Compensation $18.00hr plus tips $10.00hr Employee Benefits: -Medical Benefits after 60 days for full-time employees (30+ hours a week) -Free drinks, 25% discount on food and retail items Apply!
