Youth Athletes United (YAU) is a leading educational sports program throughout the country. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic youth sports coach to join their team. As a coach, you will work with small groups of children across various ages, developing their skills, physical literacy, and teamwork abilities. At YAU, we believe in using positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to help each child feel confident, regardless of their age or skill level. With over 20 years of experience, we have a best-in-class curriculum that is specific and progressive to every child's developmental needs. As a coach, your role will be instrumental in the development of children's gross motor skills and socialization skills, making a positive impact on their lives. Whether it's through classes, camps, afterschool enrichment, birthday parties, or team training, you will be part of making a difference in the lives of over 100,000 participants each year. This job is perfect for part-time workers, retirees, high school and college students, stay-at-home parents, nanny, teachers, and anyone else with a flexible schedule who have a passion for sports, love working with young children, and wants to give back to their community! The ideal team member will have experience working in Tennis, Golf, Pickleball, or Football. Schedules will vary but class times will typically fall between Monday-Friday: 2pm - 6pm (Depending on the location you live) Compensation: Starting rate $21 an hour upon completion of coach test. Higher rates up to $25 will be reviewed in relation to experience. Legal exemptions include but are not limited to, medical condition, disability or sincerely-held religious belief. Requirements Passion for working with children and improving their physical literacy, gross motor skills, and socialization skills! Strong sports background with general sports knowledge. Must have reliable transportation as all programs are run at local schools and parks. Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with children and parents. Must be punctual (classes are held after school in the afternoons and children are counting on you) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
