HVAC - Mechanical 1099 Contractor - Maintenance Technician

Iosfttek Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Apopka, FL. This is a full-time, on-site position starting at $35/hr. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience in operating and troubleshooting, as well as 2 years of maintenance experience with air compressors and electrical systems (up to 460 V). Requirements High school diploma/GED equivalency. Minimum of 5 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience. Preferred 2 years of maintenance experience, including air compressors and electrical systems. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Ability to recognize defective parts and distinguish machine sounds. Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, work on elevated surfaces, and work in extreme temperatures and noise levels. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding instructions in English. Willingness to work holidays, facility shutdowns, and various shifts (8-hour, 12-hour, day or night shifts) as needed, including overtime. Responsibilities Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems. Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot facility compressed air systems and ventilation fans. Use computer software to operate facility utility equipment. Restore plant utilities, including up to 460 VAC power distribution systems, after power outages. Use a CMMS program to complete preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and projects. Work with warehouse leaders to improve equipment efficiency. Report to the Regional Maintenance Manager on task completion. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the shop and equipment room. Inspect equipment on the roof and investigate for leaks as scheduled. Assist with repairs and maintenance of the facility building. The Refrigeration Technician role is ideal for individuals with strong time management skills, the ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships, and the capacity to communicate across functional lines at all levels.
