We are looking for a full time equipment operator. Operator would be required to perform equipment inspections, some maintenance and small repairs as needed. You may be asked to feed a mobile rock crusher with an excavator, run a loader, a trencher or a rock drill. Employee may be assigned other duties in addition to or in lieu of those described above and any duties are subject to change at any time according to the needs of customer projects or the company. We are seeking rock drillers to join our team. Experience preferred but not mandatory. Preferred experience working as a rock drill operator. Valid driver’s license with a driving record that includes no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents in the last 3 years and no DUIIs. Some travel is a required. We provide transportation and hotels. Because drillers occasionally assist with blasting operations, we submit candidates to a background check through the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to screen felony records as appropriate in compliance with federal government restrictions. We will administer a pre-employment drug test and physical. For safety reasons, we have a zero-tolerance drug policy. Being able to read survey staking a plus. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Drilling rock using hydraulic drills on construction sites and rock quarry sites. Performing routine maintenance on drilling equipment. Being aware of, and alerting supervisor to the need for repairs and maintenance of equipment. Completes necessary equipment pre- and post-operation and inspections drill logs.
