Key Responsibilities: Execute successful repairs independently to the satisfaction of BikeX QA standards. Communicate with customers in person regarding the status of their bicycle repair. Become familiar with BikeX’s' safety protocols. Wear safety equipment as required when using the grinder,air compressor, drills, power tools etc. Learn and follow safety procedures when utilizing degreasers, lubricants and ultrasonic parts cleaner. Learn and follow proper disposal of materials (recycle, compost, trash). Be a team player who collaborates with our small staff and dozens of volunteers to maintain a clean and organized workspace, share bike maintenance knowledge and tips, and assist with inventory management and parts ordering. Looking for mechanically skilled individuals with background in automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance to work on used warehouse style propane/gasoline forklifts. Service work is similar to a 4 cylinder car + hydraulic systems + propane fuel systems - Pay rate $24-32 an hour starting pay depending on experience and type of experience (automotive, heavy equipment, or forklift specific).
