I researched and specifically bought this coffee pot and this hot plate to make sure they work together without any issue. I bought them to keep a pot of coffee hot at my desk without having to keep going back to my kitchen while I worked. The coffee pot can easily withstand the heat of the hot plate temperatures. The pot is Mr coffee brand, bought brand new from Walmart, I bought the hot plate from Amazon brand new. It could use a little cleaning but otherwise in excellent condition
