MACHINE OPERATOR EMV - 2ND & 3RD SHIFTS AVAILABLE Giesecke+Devrient is a growing, German international security technology company operating in the fields of digital security, financial platforms, and currency technology. Our Mega Site located in Bolingbrook Illinois is a state-of-the art, clean, air-conditioned facility running three shifts. Job Summary: Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) is currently seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our EMV department at our Bolingbrook manufacturing facility. We have two shifts open; 2nd shift operates Monday through Friday from 3pm-11pm, and 3rd shift operates Monday through Friday 11pm-7am with regular opportunities for overtime. We are looking for positive and experienced individuals eager for a long-term role, who thrive on physical work, enjoy guiding staff, and are committed to achieving results. As the roles evolve, the successful candidates will take on new responsibilities and challenges. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Operate EMV machines during production, ensuring products are manufactured within established parameters. Understand and execute the entire range of machine functions and operating sequences. Load materials onto machines in the required order and sequence. Read job specifications and previous run data to set machine parameters and material requirements. Perform maintenance following proper Lockout/Tag-out procedures. Meet or exceed job standards for line speeds, scrap rates, and setup times. Load and unload stock efficiently and safely. Maintain department inventory and supplies, ensuring everything is accounted for. Report any maintenance needs to the Maintenance Department promptly. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product specifications are met. Complete all required documentation and data entry accurately and in a timely manner. Engage in ongoing training opportunities to support a continuous quality improvement environment. Verify material conformance to specifications using measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measures and calipers. Verify that guards at pinch points and potential burn areas are present before operating the machine. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the highest quality standards. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures, taking immediate action to correct safety and security issues. Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions when necessary. Required Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience operating production machines in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 and normal color perception. Strong verbal and written communication in English. Ability to focus and perform precision hand movements when operating machinery. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds and work safely around machinery. The pay for this position starts at $18 per hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
