Required Education and Experience: *Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and *Must be 18 years of age or older by date of hire. Additional Eligibility Requirements: *Working knowledge of basic building operation, repairs, equipment used and cleaning buildings. *Basic knowledge of the practices and techniques of landscape maintenance, tree care, and basic landscape construction techniques. *Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for this line of work. *Must be honest and truthful in all tasks and responsibilities. *Possession of valid driver's license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver's license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)). *Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment. *Successful completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City. Available Schedule: *Tuesday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Compensation & Information on Benefits: The anticipated hiring range for the Parks Laborer position is $18.36 (first step) to $19.28 or $20.24 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps. Examples of Job Duties: *Essential Functions of the Position: *Clean, stock, open and close Park restrooms and gates. Removes trash and ground litter in City of Medford Parks, Right of Ways, and facility areas. *May be required to drive a City vehicle to various park locations. *Assists park staff in a variety of daily tasks or special projects. *Ability to perform labor safely in all types of weather. *Ability to prepare and read simple reports and field diagrams. *Ability to work with minimum supervision and/or work with others in daily tasks. *Ability to follow oral, written, and drawn instructions. *Ability to relate to the public in a positive manner. *Adhere to safety practices and standards when performing all duties. Hello, we have an OLCC recreational cannabis farm in Williams and are looking for help harvesting our field in October. We'll be starting work on Monday October 6th and working for 4-5 weeks. The work days will be Mon-Thurs each week. Pay will be $20/hr. The time of work will be 9am-5/6pm each day with a 30min - 1hr lunch, depending on which you'd prefer. The work will include cutting down/harvesting plants, leaf trimming by hand or by table fan, bucking, and packaging cannabis into bags. The pay will be for every two weeks of work, paid on the last day of the subsequent week. (ie 10/6-10/16 will be paid on 10/23, 10/20-10/30 will be paid on 11/6, etc) Must have a valid OLCC worker's permit before starting work on 10/6. Gloves and scissors will be provided. Bring your own eyewear or eye protection.
