A Paraeducator works under general supervision to perform a variety of instructional and routine clerical duties designed to free the instructor from routine work related to the program and to provide specialized instruction. Primary responsibilities of the position are to Work with individuals, small groups, or entire classes in presenting routine instructional materials; Understand and apply classroom management techniques in a manner consistent with teacher instruction; Supervise activities of children in the classroom, on field trips, on the playground, in the cafeteria, while bus boarding and during fire and earthquake drills; Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
