The Perkins School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Extended Day Program Teacher to join our team. We are a small, progressive K-5th grade elementary school that is dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences for our students. Have fun helping supervise students in our after-school program. Bring your own interests and talents, help develop projects and learn to manage and excite students with engaging activities. Schedule will be Tuesdays/Thursdays and Fridays- with a possibility of adding more days. Role Scope Developing lesson plans and materials to teach basic language skills to students. Conducting online or in-person language classes for students. Evaluating students' progress and providing feedback to help them improve. Collaborating with other volunteers and staff members to develop effective teaching strategies. Providing support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals. Participating in training sessions and workshops provided by TEEI to enhance your teaching skills. Requirements Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners. Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a multicultural team. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education. Fluent in Italian. Having a language teaching certificate is highly valued. Good level of spoken/written English.
