Address: 30-10 Review Avenue, Long Island City 11101 PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION / ABOUT THE JOB  Each night and as part of the warehouse operation team, the Floor Person provides operational support to the Foreman/Assistant Foreman. The Floor Person receives periodicals/products, breaks-up and distributes them to ICs’ make-order areas; provides route coverage, as necessary, and keeps the workplace clean. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE  Unloads/loads delivery trucks using powered equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.) or manually, as required;  Inventories publications/products as they are received;  Helps independent contractors (ICs) tie-up their routes to optimize dispatch times;  As directed by the Foreman/Assistant Foreman and using either employee’s personal vehicle or a company vehicle, delivers publications/products intra-company, to other NDA warehouses;  Prior to driving, reviews and inspects company vehicles to be sure they are capable of safe travel; completes and submits to Foreman NDA’s Vehicle Pre-trip Inspection Form;  In coordination with Foreman, may be retained by IC(s) to provide substitute route coverage;  Must know the location of each of NDA’s five (4) warehouses.  Participates in recurring safety training (forklift and or pallet jacks) and operates all company equipment in a safe manner throughout each shift;  Inspects company equipment and timely reports any safety concerns to Foreman;  Sweeps/sanitizes warehouse at the end of each shift;  Performs other duties as requested by Foreman, General Foreman or Management; and  Complies with NDA’s/TriNet’s safety and employment policies and NDA’s Employee Handbook. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  1-5 years previous work experience required; in warehouse/packing environment a plus.  Must be able to take direction well, be attentive to detail, produce accurate results plus work independently and efficiently; and  Fluency in English; plus, Spanish or additional languages, preferred.  EXPERIENCE DRIVING BOXTRUCKS  VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE  MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 POUNDS ***WE ARE ACCEPTING WALK-INS!*** Please bring a copy of your resume!
