The ideal candidate will play an integral role in our fast-paced, multi-product company by maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational accounting, and driving process improvements. This position requires hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and a passion for thriving in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations using Sage Intacct, including journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and cash management. Support month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders. Prepare financial statements and assist with variance and trend analysis to support business decisions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate accounting data from software, SaaS, ticketing, event delivery, sports travel. (as relevant in sports tech). Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain documentation for audits and compliance. Identify process improvement opportunities in a high-growth, flexible environment. Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial projects for management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with direct experience in startups or technology companies. Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software. Strong attention to detail and ownership mentality; ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting. Preferred Experience and Attributes Passion for sports and an interest in software, technology and AI. The salary range for this position (depending on experience) is between $130,000 and $150,000 per year. While demonstrating strong leadership skills to manage and develop the accounting team, the preferred candidate will have a deep understanding of full-cycle accounting, accrual GAAP accounting, general ledger accounting, and construction-specific accounting practices, including job costing, percentage-of-completion, and revenue recognition. Essential Functions "Hands on" responsibility for all finance and accounting functions; specific areas of responsibility include month-end and year-end close; general ledger reconciliation; cash management; oversite of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and fixed assets management.
