Qualifications / Requirements: • Past experience in fabrication or forklift operation may be useful. • GMC trains employees extensively, so eagerness, energy, and desire to build a career are most important, and result in opportunities and advancement. • 10 hour shifts (M-F) with some 8 hour Saturday shifts are common, and a shift incentive is paid to the select employees working on GMC’s 2nd Shift. Qualifications / Requirements: • Flux Core or MIG welding experience. • An ability to train in all aspects of heavy structural steel welding and fabrication, with the primary use of Flux Core processes in welding operations. • GMC trains employees extensively, so eagerness, energy, and desire to build a career are most important, and result in opportunities and advancement. • 10 hour shifts (M-F) with some 8 hour Saturday shifts are common, and a shift incentive is paid to the select employees working on GMC’s 2nd Shift. Start ASAP Established Sheet-metal/Machine shop looking for Grinders/Finisher Responsible for grinding, sanding and polishing various types of metal. Using hand tools, and power tools to ensure smooth surfaces. Assembling finished parts as needed Responsibilities ~ Grind, sand and polish production parts according to customer specifications ~ Ensures quality production through physical inspection. ~ Inspect parts for flaws and cracks. ~ Will frequently and repetitively be able to lift 50 lbs. ~ Maintains high level of accuracy, efficiency and safety, ensure quality standards and policy objectives are met by in-process inspection. ~ Experience with basic inspection equipment and small tools (calipers, grinders, measuring tape, etc.) ~ Ability to work overtime as needed to meet schedule requirements. ~ Willingness to follow instruction and help wherever needed in the shop. ~ Be self motivated, positive team-oriented attitude. ~ Must maintain a clean and safe working environment Employee is regularly exposed to vibration, moderate noise levels. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, including stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching. Frequently using hands, handle or feel objects, tools or controls to climb or balance.
