ShareJob Description Overview Upgrade Home Services is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated HVAC installation apprentice/helper. This position offers paid training. Successful candidates must be organized, able to perform in a fast-paced environment, and capable of efficiently multitasking. The HVAC installation apprentice/helper assists HVAC installers/technicians by providing essential support to ensure smooth operations at job sites. Skills and Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications: Valid driver's license. Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to schedule changes. Ability to crawl in tight spaces and climb stairs; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and rooftops. Ability to work in hot and cold environments and confined spaces for tasks such as ductwork installation and equipment setup. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to manage time effectively and pay attention to details. Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to work in confined spaces and frequently move up to 25 pounds. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to comply with safety standards and regulations. Integrity and ability to promote a positive image of the company. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily. Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Frequent lifting and carrying of heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds). Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and crawl during installation tasks. Experience Proven experience in maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC/R systems. Familiarity with appliance repair techniques and equipment. Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC systems. Field service operation experience preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
