Install, connect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems Test and maintain electronic controls for machinery Test and assess motors, transformers, generators, electronic controllers on machine tools Perform and document preventative maintenance by periodically inspecting equipment, then locating and correcting problems before breakdowns occur Advise management of and make repairs to equipment in timely manner to minimize safety hazards, lost time, and excessive costs Replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical components or wires Troubleshoot, and repair or replace mechanical components of our equipment as necessary. Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment in a safe and productive manner Set, hook up, and test equipment prior to startup of a given project, disconnect upon project completion May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by supervision for the completion of the job in a safe and timely manner All of the above requirements shall be completed in a safe and efficient manner so as not to cause injury to self or others, or damage to the equipment Requirements At least 1 year of electrical experience Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints. Experience using standard electrician equipment (meters, gauges, hand tools etc.). Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols in a marine environment. Summary: Seeking a skilled Project Manager (life cycle PM) to support the delivery of Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) through effective management of CIP and/or non-CIP projects. Responsible for managing projects throughout all phases of a project, including, but not limited to, business case development for project initiation, study, design, construction, procurement, operations turnover and project closeout. A life cycle PM may manage projects related to our water resource recovery facility (WRRF), our combined sewer overflow (CSO) facilities, our sewage pumping stations (SPS), or our regional wastewater collection system (RWCS). Job Responsibilities:  Communicate with and manage the project activities of all project stakeholders, all project disciplines, and regulatory agencies or authorities having jurisdiction. Manage the scope, schedule and budget for project delivery and report and coordinate same with the CIP Program Controls Team  Ability to communicate at all necessary levels of understanding, coordinate projects & details, and build & maintain relationships with operations and maintenance staff, procurement staff, asset management staff, engineering staff, leadership, and administrative staff.  Help develop with the project team realistic baseline forecasts of the overall project cost and schedule, as well as forecasts of each projects cost and schedule  Ensure adherence to the department’s engineering standards, project management standards, and guidelines, and actively participate in the improvement of same  Ensure the project team adheres to the CIP Program’s standard methodologies for project & quality management, projects controls, permitting and regulatory management, and project assurances as described in the Program Management Plan (PMP)  Coordinate all projects through public advertisement & procurement process  Manage the process for evaluating, tracking and mitigating project risks and communicating cost and/or schedule implications to leadership.  Manage the process for monitoring and enforcing contractor adherence PMP  Ensure the CIP Program’s Change Management procedures are adhered to  Monitor and manage project performance relative to planned baseline and approved changes  Collaborate with all stakeholders to develop project charters, including scope, schedule, and budget so that scope creep is avoided  Analyze variances and initiate mitigative actions needed to ensure timely completion of assigned projects  Track and communicate project cost control expectations and deliverables with consultants and contractors  Stay current with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional/community organizations  Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties  Participate in strategic planning, including the annual CIP development process  Manage multiple projects and balance / allocate resources between projects  Prepare and present status reports to management as needed  Advise leadership team members of projects  Respond to requests for project information  Coordinate meetings and tasks with other business units across the organization  Provide mentoring in areas of expertise to other team members  Facilitate the project initiation, management, and closeout processes Required Education and Experience:  Transcripts or Diploma Required:  Education requirement can be substituted with extensive experience, at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer or designee  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or other related discipline of study from an accredited college or university; AND  Professional Engineer License in the State of Michigan OR Project Management Professional Certification from a recognized accredited body OR the ability to obtain one of these credentials within 12 months of joining; AND• Minimum of four (4) years of project management or related experience in the field and/or job assignment

The successful candidate Support all manufacturing engineering activities within assigned manufacturing cell(s) including implementing and facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives, implementing ECO’s, assigning inventory locations, conducting contract reviews, creating shop floor instructions, evaluating standards and completing capital and facility upgrades. Rate of pay will be $70,000 to $75,000. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide manufacturing engineering support and services within assigned manufacturing cell(s). Provide support as the acting Cell Leader in the Cell Leader absence.  Duties are as outlined in the Cell Leader job description. Work effectively as a cell team member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued. Maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on the manufacturing cell log. Represent manufacturing engineering within assigned cells at the daily cell meetings and weekly plant metrics meetings. Review relevant engineering change orders (ECOs) within assigned cells or assigned option groups and support all aspects of production implementation. Assign default locators to all parts within assigned manufacturing cells. Create shop floor instructions and hot sheets and train the necessary personnel on those standards. Update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts and inventory, housekeeping, emergency, & security maps etc.) Specify and facilitate capital and equipment upgrades, installations or modifications. Implement and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction etc.) Promote an environment of continuous improvement and team work. Lead or participate in SWAT team meetings, ensuring that necessary action is taken between cross-functional groups to resolve issues. Conduct process observations to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent. Validate routings and submit and implement routing change requests to process planning where appropriate. Conduct contract reviews prior to contract start to ensure production preparedness per SR as assigned.  This review conducted as outlined in the New Flyer Work Instruction – Manufacturing Readiness Assessment.  Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned, to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials. Check engineering documents, coordinate Electrical Checkout Procedures with production staff, basic electrical troubleshooting with Electricians, Instructions to Service, Shop Floor Instructions and other documents as authorized. Initiate engineering change requests (ECRs) where appropriate. Participate in internal and outside supplier certifications and audits, as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes and quality control standards. Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
