PCA position! Overnights and early mornings. Swimming and bonuses! (NE MINNEAPOLIS)

*** Are you an active individual seeking an active yet relaxing job?*** Do you enjoy helping others lead full and productive lives through physical fitness and recreation, specifically swimming? ***An adult male with cerebral palsy is seeking direct support staff. Client is responsible for hiring, training and supervision of staff. Staff must have current valid drivers license and be both willing and able to frequently transport client using client's personal vehicle with no restrictions and have the ability to pass a mandated background check. Applicants should be comfortable assisting with activities of daily living, including but not limited to, the following: Standing pivot and hoyer lift transfers, dressing, grooming, bathing and meal preparation, as well as assistance in the community, including regular assistance with one on one swimming. This is a full-time position.(40 hrs per week). Exact hours and schedule are negotiable. Candidates must be punctual, good communicators and be able to manage child care and other responsibilities in a way that they do not frequently interfere with a regularly set schedule. In need of overnights and early mornings as well as weekend day shifts. Must be able to transport client in client's vehicle, be comfortable assisting client in swimming and other recreational activities and work related activities. Bonuses for ,performance and availability Would prefer full-time staff however am willing to consider part-time and multiple shifts if we are found to be a good match. This position is ideal for someone who is committed and enjoys travel; the ideal staff is active and athletic, enjoys various forms of recreation and is comfortable in the water, as you will be expected to assist the client swimming one-on-one frequently. Staff also should enjoy work in a variety of settings, both professional and social, and be committed to helping people with important aspects of their independence. Punctuality, preperation and communication are a must in this position Previous direct care experience is not required, though it is preferred, especially with standing pivot transfers.
