Description

You'll be responsible for participating in the design process preparing thorough electrical drawings and details. The work includes engineering design analysis for short circuit fault current, arc flash hazard, photometric anaylsis, voltage drop, load flow analysis, and general research of new technologies as applicable. Requirements The successful candidate will: Learn the primary drafting tools, Revit and AutoCAD, as well as engineering analysis tools such as SKM Power Tools for fault current studies and AGI for photometric analysis. Participate in development of electrical designs from concept through completion of construction. Prepare engineering design calculations, create layouts, and write detailed engineering reports. Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering; Sophomore, Junior or Senior level electrical engineering student. Minimum GPA of 3.0. This role will support projects from start to finish, ensuring consistency, quality, and care through all phases of prep, transport, and on-site installation. Key Responsibilities: Review and build from technical drawings and report back to the Director of Millwork with questions, comments, concerns. Manages, tracks, and plans tasks according to the production schedule. Execute fabrication tasks on schedule, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Operate and maintain shop machinery, equipment, hand, and power tools safely and efficiently. Work with a range of materials including wood, sheet goods, metals, plastics, and hardware. Prepare and track tools, equipment, and materials for assigned projects. Collaborate in improvements on build methods and technical solutions. Accurately forecast and communicate task completion timelines. Support daily shop operations, including material prep, assembly, finishing, and staging. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Track time and assignments accurately for project reporting. Assist with the upkeep of department tools, consumables, and equipment. Participate in post-project reviews, offering feedback and improvements for future builds. Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and collaborative working environment Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a carpenter, fabricator, or related workshop role, ideally in in the commercial, hospitality, and/or residential fit out market. At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing and/or installing of high quality, bespoke millwork products. Experience with all millwork manufacturing machinery – Panel Saw, Jointer, Planer, Widebelt Sander, etc. Strong knowledge of fabrication methods, materials, joinery techniques, and finishing. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, plans, blueprints, and sketches with accuracy. Competency with shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in quality work. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Team-oriented with clear, professional communication skills. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
