Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sewing Machine Operator. Experience with sewing—whether professional, hobbyist, or industrial—is required, but marine canvas experience is not. This is a hands-on, on-site position with strong potential for career growth as we continue to expand.
What You’ll Do:
• Receive paid on-the-job training (OJT) in marine canvas fabrication and upholstery techniques
• Assist with shop tasks, material handling, and preparation of fabrics
• Learn to operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment
• Sew and assemble large marine covers, including full boat and individual component covers
• Handle large, heavy fabrics and materials safely and efficiently
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional shop environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Prior sewing experience (personal, professional, or industrial)
• Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow with the company
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the job (lifting fabric rolls, maneuvering large covers)
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
