Part-Time Tutors (Upper East Side)

Seeking In-Home Personal Assistant for my happy and active 24yr. old son with severe autism The hours are Weekends 8am to 2pm. Responsibilities include protective supervision and assistance with daily living skills. Duties include meal prep, medication administration, bathroom assistance, dressing, light housekeeping, educational activities and accompanying client to the beach or park for lunch. Candidate requirements include a B.A. degree and experience working with developmentally disabled individuals. ABA skills are a plus but training will continually be provided in order to maintain client's happiness, cooperation and safety. Candidate must follow specific instructions and ABA protocol on a daily basis. Playful but firm nature is needed. High level of focus and attention to detail is required. We are a small independent tutoring company founded by classroom teachers, with offices in Culver City and Manhattan Beach. We are hiring at both locations, part-time to start immediately: Mon& Weds 4:00-8:00 plus one additional meeting weekly Sat afternoon once a month Additional hrs available if desired This is a part-time, in-person employee position at our center. Additional hours and health insurance/retirement benefits may be available as you grow with the team. We serve 4th-12th graders, so this is for you if you are an experienced middle or high school teacher. You would be working collaboratively on a small, highly professional team including the owner/CEO. The hours are consistent and the environment is supportive. We work in-person at our centers in a dynamic group setting but with opportunity to do one-on-one and very small group instruction. There is a strong feeling of community and also a great chance to get to know students very well over a period of years. Specifically, we are seeking expertise in the following areas: In Culver City: • English and/or History background with ability to coach middle and high school students in either domain in advanced literacy including reading comprehension, analytical writing process and AP-level essays and study strategies. Clean offices evenings, nights and weekends! Stay local, in the Silverdale, Bremerton and Poulsbo areas! If you love to put on some headphones and clean, you may love what we do. Show up nightly to your assigned office and get it clean. You must be mature enough to handle building keys and being trained to work by yourself. Disinfecting surfaces, dusting, cleaning restrooms, restocking paper supplies, emptying trash, vacuuming/mopping, locking down accounts when completed... all that glorious stuff! If you have a good eye for cleaning and are motivated to do quality work even when you are unsupervised, you might just be a perfect fit for this gig.
