Location: Onsite – 5 days per week (DOWNTOWN CHICAGO) We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support for employees, ensuring computer systems and conference room technologies run smoothly. You’ll primarily manage issues remotely from your desk but will also handle hands-on tasks such as equipment setup and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities : Provide helpdesk support to employees, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Set up, configure, and maintain physical computer equipment and peripherals. Perform device provisioning for new and existing users (experience preferred). Troubleshoot issues related to conference room systems, with a focus on Google Meet setups. Utilize remote management tools to resolve the majority of technical support requests. Execute basic tasks in Linux terminal for system checks and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the IT team to maintain smooth operations and escalate issues when necessary. Qualifications : Previous experience in a desktop support or helpdesk support role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware setup and troubleshooting. Experience with provisioning processes is preferred. Familiarity with Linux terminal commands and basic troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests effectively. Comfortable working onsite five days per week.
