As an Educational Specialist at Hands on Learning Solutions You Would… • Work one-on-one with students of all ages with learning and attention challenges • Receive specialized training in Cognitive Educational Therapy and Structured Literacy, combining movement, language, and psychology. • Help students become truly confident in the areas of attention, comprehension, reading, spelling, writing, and math. • Be provided with curriculum and materials that are pre-determined for each student. • Work at our clinic in Gig Harbor. This is not a remote job, and you would NOT have to drive from home to home. Job Qualifications ● Quick learner ● Flexible thinker ● Intuitive ● Positive and professional ● Good written and verbal communication skills ● 2 years or more working with children ● Available to attend 2 – 3 weeks of paid required training upon hire. Training hours are generally 6-8 hours per day Monday through Friday ● Must be available a minimum of three days a week, fifteen hours or more per week after training. We are open Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Fridays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Need: PART TIME Part time employees will typically be scheduled less than 25 hours per week according to the agreed upon schedules and instructional needs of the center. Job Summary Teachers at Storybook Village Preschool (SVP) share responsibility for the supervision and care of their classroom.
