I am a new NEMT (Non Emergency Medical Transportation) contractor for the Trimet Lift Program in need of a DEPENDABLE/ PROFESSIONAL/MATURE/CUSTOMER SERVICE FOCUSED/DRUG FREE individual for one day a week or even "on call" for my medical appointments and/surgeries. The on-boarding process for Trimet is meticulous so ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. This process can take up to 30 days before you can begin working under my license. I have NO CONTROL over any of the Do's and DON'Ts under my contract. This is NOT an hourly paid gig. You will be paid a flat rate per trip performed in my leased van. I offer NO BENEFITS etc. This work REQUIRES A 10 HOUR SHIFT: 6am-430pm (Fridays) NO WEEKENDS. You do get a 30 minute lunch break. You are REQUIRED TO USE YOUR CELLPHONE. The work also REQUIRES A 100% BLACK UNIFORM (Not issued by me nor Trimet). This means you are REQUIRED TO ONLY WEAR 100% BLACK FROM HEAD TO TOE INCLUDING SOLES OF SHOES. Upon successful on-boarding you will be issued a safety vest and badge under my license. This position is a 1 day 10 hour shift. I have my own van. You drive to my home and pick it up. Shift is 6am-430pm with a 1/2hr lunch. This position OFFERS NO BENEFITS. You get paid a per trip rate of $18. There is no guarantee number of trips because dispatch is not a part of my company. The work you perform is rewarding because you are making it possible for the elderly and disabled to get to their necessary appointments and other life obligations that otherwise wouldn't be accomplished. Responsibilities: Vehicle Transportation: • Operate commercial vehicles including heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other specialized equipment to transport vehicles, parts, and equipment to and from customer locations, suppliers, and other facilities. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards. Route Planning, Navigation, process adherence: • Must have ability to utilize technology and scan QR codes. • Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and maximize fuel. • Communicate with dispatch and management to provide updates on route progress, estimated arrival times, and any deviations from planned routes. • Understand and execute internal and external procedures on how to pick up and drop off a unit and store that unit in all production and parking facilities. Problem-Solving and Adaptability: • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities, last-minute requests, and unexpected challenges. • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address on-the-road issues, such as mechanical breakdowns, traffic delays, route changes while minimizing disruptions and ensuring timely delivery. • Collaborate with dispatch, mechanics, and other team members to troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions in real-time. Customer Service: • Interact professionally with customers and suppliers providing courteous and prompt service. • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and requests with tact and diplomacy. Strive to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships. Safety and Compliance: • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial driving. • Maintain a clean driving record and comply with company policies and procedures. • Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly and accurately. Qualifications: • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Class A required. • Clean driving record with no history of major violations or accidents. • 1 to 3 years of commercial driving experience • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and focused on high-pressure situations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service excellence. Route Relief Driver                                                                              $23.00 - $25.00 per hour/DOE You will join our team as a full-time Route Relief Driver. You will ensure that all customer invoicing and inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, prior to each delivery day, you will review customer paperwork for special needs – identifying upsell opportunities, and how to best position our products or services to meet client’s needs.   Other responsibilities include: Loading and unloading product Organizing and securing products in your vehicle Delivering fresh product, and collecting soiled product for laundering Consistently building rapport with customers, and adding value through your delivery Monitoring and seeking feedback from customers on perceived levels of service Consulting customers on additional product options Collaborating with Route Managers, Service Managers and Key Account Managers to creating solutions for current customer needs.
