Day Porter (2-3 days per week) 9am-2pm (flexible start) This is a shared position with another Day Porter on opposite days. Essentially a Day Porter is responsible for making sure our client's building looks professional, clean, presentable and inviting at all times, especially between regular cleanings performed at night by additional staff. Day Porters will work amongst our clients' but act discreetly and not interfere with clients' daily operations. Day Porter will be in charge of refreshing bathrooms (cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets as needed, paper products refilled, trash removed etc.) cleaning coffee stations, wiping cafeteria tables- general trash removal from these areas, vacuuming cafeteria, entryways as needed throughout, putting away supplies in supply closets as needed, etc. This is a wonderful property that we take care of, they treat us all very well. Cleaning Homes and Offices, Monday - Friday 25-30 hours per week, looking for reliable people. $15-$20 an hour depending on experience, with possibilities to earn more. Responsibilities: Supervise on-site construction activities: manage crews, subcontractors, and laborers. Read, interpret, and enforce plans, specifications, blueprints, and compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Maintain project schedule & coordinate sequencing of trades so things proceed smoothly. Track progress, inspect work quality, ensure adherence to scope, and manage punchlists. Handle procurement, material deliveries, and coordination with vendors. Issue change orders, handle clarifications, and resolve field issues in real time. Maintain project documentation: daily logs, photos, reports, subcontractor agreements, as-built changes. Serve as liaison between field and project management / clients / architects / inspectors. Enforce safety protocols and maintain safe jobsite practices. Qualifications & Skills: Required 5+ years experience in construction, with at least 2 years in supervisory or superintendent roles (foreman, assistant superintendent, etc.). Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and quality standards. Experience reading architectural / structural drawings, specifications. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and adapt under pressure. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to job sites. Physical capability: walking site, climbing, lifting, etc. Preferred Experience with both residential & commercial projects. Familiarity with construction software / project management tools. OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 certification. Prior track record managing budgets, change orders, or field cost control. Compensation & Schedule Pay: competitive base salary or hourly (negotiable based on experience) + overtime when required. Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, ~8am–4pm.
