As a Diet Aide, you will be an important part of the dining services team, helping to prepare meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. Your work will ensure that every meal that leaves the kitchen is safe, accurate, and thoughtfully prepared. Daily responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash dishes and utensils, put away the twice weekly order, and keep storage areas neat and organized. By paying close attention to detail, you will help us safeguard resident health, prevent food waste, and make sure ingredients are always ready when needed. Though you may not always interact directly with residents, the care you put into your work will be felt by every person you serve. The meals you help prepare contribute to comfort, health, and overall quality of life. We are looking for someone who understands that even small tasks—like double-checking a diet restriction is accommodated or keeping the kitchen spotless—can make a big difference. This position requires someone who can communicate effectively with team members, follow instructions carefully, and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential. Because food safety is a top priority, you will need to maintain current Food Handler credentials and meet all state and local health-related requirements. CPR and First Aid certification must also be kept current. Continuing education, annual training, and pre-employment screenings—including a physical, TB test, drug test, and background check—are also part of the requirements.
