Full-Time Facilities Staff (Sexton) First Congregational Church of Greenwich FT POSITION (up to $25/hour 40 hours wk) SUMMARY: Full-Time Facilities Staff (Sexton) The Sexton plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the Church and Preschool. This position involves a variety of tasks related to cleaning, custodial duties, and general light maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are well-kept and presentable, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for the congregation, staff, and visitors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Full Time Sexton is responsible for the safe, effective, and daily operation of the building, including the outside, maintenance of office and common spaces; cleanliness of bathrooms; conducting regular custodial duties including sweeping, mopping and floor care. minor repairs; preventive maintenance work; and remaining on-call to respond to emergency situations during normal business hours. • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and a pleasing appearance while meeting program and operational needs • Address any required cleaning or repairs. • Inform the Facilities Manager immediately when major repair work is needed • Other responsibilities as assigned • The Full Time Sexton will report directly to the Facilities Manager and the Director of Administration. • The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with occasional weekend work, as per the needs of the Church. Responsibilities and Initiatives To help NHF meet its growth goals, the Social Services Coordinator will: Timely complete Needs Assessment and Care Plans. Complete referrals and coordinate services for mental health, housing, etc. Facilitate discharge process and locating housing for individuals. Complete discharge notes, communicating to our community partners. Conduct warm hand off for guest when appropriate. Maintain up-to-date CRM proprietary database daily and partner contacts. Complete Coordinated Entry System ("CES") Documents and all other documents required to maintain compliance. Complete Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS). Utilize bed board application to determine census capital for operational planning (i.e.) meal planning. Provide emergency service referrals (e.g., domestic violence, human trafficking & sexual assault) and warm handoff referrals when appropriate. Attend care coordination meetings. Collaborate with nursing team to execute weekly case conferencing for guest. Practice harm reduction practices while conducting guests searches for contrabands or illegal substances when applicable. Support program team with appropriate guest interventions such as de-escalation, Crisis Prevention, motivational interviewing, etc. Engage and conduct daily check in with guest, building rapport and trust with our guests. Ability to adequately manage caseload of a minimum 25 guests with flexibility to manage more to meet the needs of the facility (i.e., vacancies, PTO etc.). Flexibility to complete home visits when necessary to track post-transition guest progress and or Rapid Rehousing Housing (RRH) when applicable. Must adhere to administrative hours to complete all required documentation. Project a positive professional image and adheres to organizational dress code. Ability to multi-task and collaborate with external case managers to provide adequate services and support to the guests. Ability to triage and intervene during areas of guest behavioral concerns. Adhere to all funders and company’s standards procedures of operations, regulations, and best practices to meet compliance. Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes when necessary to meet the needs of the facility. Complete additional tasks/duties as assigned to meet the needs of the facility, notwithstanding primary responsibilities. Always follow NHF policies and procedures. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s in social work preferred. Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in healthcare delivery, hospital education, social services, or similar field. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from directors, case managers and discharge planners in hospitals. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Positive and professional attitude. Time management and strong organizational skills. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and proficient typing skills. Reliable transportation. Bi-lingual Spanish Preferred. TB test required. Fingerprint live scan /background required.   Physical Requirements The duties as described will required frequent standing and walking, as well as extended sitting. Position Summary This role will serve as the primary connection between clients, case management staff, service providers, and landlords/property managers. The Housing Coordinator will ensure client well-being and unit habitability by conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly unit visits at the clients’ residence. This position is responsible for implementing a program that advocates for individuals to obtain community-based housing options with the appropriate service supports to succeed. The Housing Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of 35-45 individuals with frequent and regular travel to client residences, affiliate businesses, community meetings, training workshops, and other events in the San Mateo County. Position Responsibilities Assist program participants, case managers, and property providers in navigating the public housing agencies, if applicable. Coordinate program participants' move-ins into scattered-site units, project-based units, and/or enriched residential facilities. Liaise between program participants and case management services. Work with the Housing Acquisitions team to assist with housing placements and assignments. Ensure program participants well-being and unit habitability through a regular schedule of unit inspections and wellness checks. Respond to housing and tenant-related emergencies during normal business and after hours. Assess the need for reasonable accommodations/unit modifications and ADA compliance and assist program participants through the process of obtaining the appropriate information and documentation, if applicable. Educate community members about the housing needs of identified program participants and the importance of supportive housing. Submit and follow up on tenant maintenance requests. Movement Labs is looking for local community leaders to serve as Neighborhood Captains in select areas for an organizing program ahead of the Virginia general elections. This program aims to reach disengaged voters in low-turnout areas by prioritizing one-on-one outreach and longer-term engagement from local neighborhood leaders. In working to re-engage voters, this program also aims to provide opportunities for voters to connect, and better assess voter needs. Outreach will be focused in the Richmond and Norfolk Metropolitan areas with folks that did not vote in the 2024 election, or who do not plan to vote this year.  Each Neighborhood Captain will focus on building longer-term relationships with voters in areas of the city that they are familiar with organizing in. Responsibilities include: Developing relationships with ~300 voters who didn’t vote in 2024, prioritizing in-person and one-on-one outreach; Conducting door-to-door canvassing as a primary means to engage target voters; Using phone-banking and peer-to-peer texting to support efforts Organizing, or supporting coordination of community events to provide opportunities for local voters to get engaged in their area; Tracking voter event engagement  Identifying voter needs and priorities in conversations with voters; identifying potential resources or connections to help meet identified needs Engaging and managing small groups of volunteers to support local voter engagement Support recruitment of participants for community listening sessions  Requirements Above all, we are looking for people that care deeply about supporting their communities and enjoy connecting with their neighbors.  Neighborhood Captain will work to organize their communities using their strengths, and help build out areas they’re interested in learning more about.  Movement Labs will provide neighborhood captains with a mobilization toolkit with language, outreach template, and instructions for outreach. We will also provide lists of folks that didn’t vote in 2024 to prioritize outreach to. Experience with campaigns and community organizing (including volunteer-based roles) is preferred but not required.
