





Title: House Manager (w/ Light Meal Prep Support) Location: Benicia, CA 94510 Employment Type: Part-time (8-12 hours/week) Proposed Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $30-40/hour based on experience Requirements: Able to maintain a smoke-free environment, has reliable transportation, able to pass background check, comfortable around pets Proposed Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9am – 12pm preferred About Our Family: We’re a busy family of four with two kids (ages 8 and 10) plus three cats and two dogs. Between two full-time jobs and weekly business travel, we’re looking for a proactive household manager who can confidently step in behind-the-scenes to help lighten the load at home. With the majority of childcare and cleaning already covered, this role is focused more on the family meal prep, laundry, organization and errands that will make our household run more smoothly and give us back valuable family time. Who We’re Looking For: Our ideal candidate is highly organized, attentive, and confident taking initiative. The person we’re looking for is: -Intuitive and self-sufficient—able to spot what’s needed and handle household tasks without much oversight -Detail-oriented, organized, and confident in household management -Comfortable with meal prep and family laundry -Able to run various errands as needed -Trustworthy, efficient, and comfortable working independently Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization -Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, garage, etc.), suggesting new and improved systems as needed -Reset and tidy rooms daily (vacuum high-traffic areas, load/unload dishwasher, wipe counters); ensure home is prepped for weekly cleaning services -Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups -Support packing/unpacking for business and family travel as needed -Manage children’s clothing organization, including size transitions and seasonal wardrobe rotations -Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.) -Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays -Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, plumbers, etc.) Errands & Inventory Management -Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies -Create and manage running household supply lists -Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.) -Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping -Handle package pickup, mail sorting, deliveries, and box breakdown Meal Prep & Kitchen Support -Prepare and cook 4 family dinners per week using supplies and recipes provided by our meal delivery service (open to cooking from scratch if candidate has strong culinary skills) -Pack two school lunches daily (prepped for the next day), ensuring balanced, kid-friendly options -Maintain a well-stocked, organized kitchen -Keep the kitchen tidy post-meal prep Laundry -Full laundry care for the family, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing -Ensure towels, bedding, and household linens are cleaned, fresh, and neatly stored -Iron, steam, and prepare outfits as needed -Pre-treat stains promptly to maintain clothing quality -Maintain an organized system and schedule for clothing and linens to keep the household running smoothly -Keep laundry areas clean and stocked Pet Care -Take out Litter Robot daily -Ensure animals have fresh, clean water supply -Maintain organized stock of pet supplies Deep Cleaning & Special Projects -Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.) -Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom) -Organize special projects (e.g., getting seasonal decorations from storage and helping with setting up/putting away) Childcare Assistance -Open to occasional backup and/or overnight support for children
