We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Technical Consultant with extensive experience in US Payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ABAP HR code development and a deep understanding of Core HR and Payroll modules. This role involves designing and developing custom HR-ABAP programs, working with PNP/PNPCE logical databases, and enhancing payroll processes. • Experience: 9-15 years in payroll technical consulting. • ABAP HR Development: Proficient in ABAP HR code development. • Custom Programs: Design and write HR-ABAP custom programs; modify standard programs as needed. • Database Programming: Experience with PNP/PNPCE logical databases and cluster programming for Core HR, payroll, and time management. • Core HR & Payroll Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Core HR and Payroll modules, including schemas, functions, and operations. • HR Tables/Clusters: Familiarity with HR, Core HR, and Payroll tables/clusters; experience in developing reports/BDC in the HR module. • Payroll Processes: Strong experience in Core HR and payroll processes, including preparing payroll reports. • Reports & Interfaces: Design and develop reports, interfaces, info types, and enhancements. • Team Development: Guide and develop team members to enhance their technical capabilities and productivity. • Forms Experience: Hands-on experience with SMART forms and HR forms. • User Exits & BAPIs: Proficient in user exits, BADi, and BAPI. • OOPS Concept: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts. • Technical Documentation: Experience in requirement gathering, designing technical documents, unit testing, and code review. • Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience in payroll technical consulting with a focus on US Payroll. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Project Planning, Coordination and Implementation: • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, sales, support) and clients to ensure project objectives are clear and achievable. • Define project milestones and monitor progress against them. • Assist team in completing the work as necessary to complete the project on time. Client Communication: • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. • Communicate project progress, risks, and changes to both clients and internal teams. • Lead regular weekly meetings with project team. • Schedule and lead regular check in meetings with clients to review deliverables, address concerns, and provide updates. Risk Management: • Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation plans. • Proactively resolve issues that may arise during project execution. Team Leadership & Resource Management: • Lead project team, ensuring that all resources are available and allocated appropriately. • Manage and mentor team members, ensuring high performance and collaboration. Quality Control & Reporting: • Ensure that projects are delivered with the expected quality and adhere to best practices in IT delivery. • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future processes. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Education: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: • 3+ years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in a Managed Service Provider environment. • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and networking. • Proven experience working with various project management methodologies • Experience with ConnectWise Manage is preferred but not required Certifications: • PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 certification is a plus. • ITIL certification is beneficial. Skills: • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficient in project management software • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Responsibilities Design & implement high-performance feed handlers in modern C++ for equities, futures, and options across global venues (e.g., NYSE, CME, Refinitiv RTS, Bloomberg B-PIPE). Optimize for micro- and nanosecond latency using lock-free data structures, cache-friendly memory layouts, and kernel-bypass networking where appropriate. Strong grasp of concurrency, lock-free algorithms, memory-model semantics, and compiler optimizations.
