Patient Experience Representative (boston: boston/cambridge/brookline)

Our client, a healthcare organization is seeking a temporary Patient Service Representative (PSR) for their dental specialty in Cambridge, MA. This onsite position is scheduled for 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute break, paying $22/hour for a 6-8 week assignment. The ideal candidate will have prior dental office experience and be comfortable using MS Office; familiarity with Oryx (dental database/CRM) is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Manage incoming calls, emails, and messages from patients as the first point of contact. Register new patients and verify insurance eligibility, advising on co-pay and pre-visit procedures. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including referrals and off-site visits. De-escalate patient concerns and communicate with internal service areas as needed. Maintain accurate records and document messages in tracking systems. Support coordination with other MIT Medical specialties and diagnostic testing. Candidate Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; minimum two years in customer service or administrative roles. Prior dental or healthcare office experience preferred. Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills. Effective, professional telephone manner and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
