One Royal Culture Short Story Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities: Build the people within the project team to facilitate their growth and the capabilities of the overall team: Structure the department to adequately staff project teams, taking into account the individual strengths of each team member and the needs of the projects. Create clarity of roles and responsibilities for teams on each project and set goals with the team for project success. Coach and develop project teams for successful accomplishment of their own Key Results. Create culture of continuous improvement through learning and feedback. Develop growth plans for team members and anticipate future staffing needs for executing project plans. Promote collaboration and innovation at all levels. Build Relationships with the Client: Identify current and potential high-level clients and implement strategy for maintaining these relationships at all levels of the project team. Personally develop relationships with leadership of top clients that results in proactive two-way communication and feedback. Engage with clients before, during and after the project – identifying and meeting their needs, objectives and challenges. Facilitate project team collaboration with the client for win-win scenarios that positively impact the project. Implement plans to monitor and improve relationships with clients to mitigate risk. Build Relationships with Vendors & Subcontractors: Build and maintain relationships that positively impact alignment on a project, procuring future work and collaborating through challenges. Ensure project teams are engaging with subs and vendors timely and constructively for mutual success. Communicate subcontractor and vendor strengths and weaknesses with Support Operations and Preconstruction/Estimating that could affect future work or relationships. Engage in industry associations and events to continuously identify potential subs and vendors and their possible alignment with Royal on future work. Build Relationships with Internal Departments: Client Discovery: Assess client (company and project team) alignment on culture and shared values. Proposal Phase: Ensure project teams have clarity on bid time scope, Royal’s value add over the competition, bid time negotiations and client expectations of our contract. Project Kickoff: Facilitate successful startup internally and with client to create project team alignment and planning. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other closely related field or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience with an electrical contractor or similar 10 years of electrical/construction estimating, project assistant/management, or construction management experience Strong verbal and written communication Strong attention to detail Ability to read and understand construction documents Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities Ability to effectively lead, manage, and engage multi-member team Required Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate most or all the Royal leadership traits; promotes Royal culture, drives to be great, builds genuine relationships, outcome focused, people developer, and influencer. Job Summary The Project Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of the tasks associated with project setup and the work relating to project management. This position is responsible for planning activities to assure contract deliverables and other work are produced timely and in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Organizational Relationships Reports to the Regional OM&M Manager, National RMC Director, Project Superintendent, or Project Manager. · May work independently or in conjunction with other staff to complete assigned tasks.
