Job description Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to support the construction, maintenance, and operations of our facilities and projects. This role requires a strong foundation in equipment operation, a keen eye for safety, and a commitment to meeting deadlines and project goals. Duties Excavations/trenching inside closed landfills for landfill gas collections and leachate systems is a plus. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed. · Ensures equipment is in good working order, at all times. · Must possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiency. · Able to slope or bench an excavation. · Able to read and understand cut and fill stakes in order to align and position equipment appropriately. · Willingness to operate heavy equipment for long periods with continuous attention to detail and safety. · Observe and follow all applicable safety requirements. · Maintain consistent communication among field crew members by use of hand signals or radio to align and position heavy equipment properly. · Confirm necessary precautions have been taken to ensure no conflicts exist with both above and below-ground utilities. · All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent Skills A positive attitude and willingness to take direction. · Ability to communicate in English · Understanding proper safety procedures and recognizing hazards · Ability to understand Plans as they relate to trenching, excavation, and grading. · Knowledge of U.S.A. marks · Must be a team player and create a positive environment · Must be a self-starter and a go-getter · Ability to check grade and verify elevations using a laser, is a plus. · Ability to lead the day-to-day activities of a small crew, is a plus. · Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed, including weekends. Job Summary Primarily responsible for implementing environmental remediation projects. This position requires strong work planning, sequencing and staff management skills to execute field construction projects within scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet contract requirements. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Oversees projects at multiple sites with little to no direct supervision. Projects consist of multidiscipline tasks with integral scheduling components. Directly responsible for implementation, oversight, and reinforcement of companies and client Health and Safety requirements. Directs field personnel, equipment operators, laborers and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delay and keep project progress on track. Job Summary: The Punch Prep Technician is responsible for preparing and setting up equipment and materials for the punch press operation and performing fire caulking tasks. This role involves ensuring all components are accurately prepared to meet production standards, maintaining equipment, performing fire caulking to ensure fire safety compliance, and adhering to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Setup and Preparation: Prepare and set up punch press machines according to production requirements. Load materials into machines and ensure proper alignment and calibration. Perform pre-operation inspections to verify that equipment is functioning correctly. Fire Caulking: Apply fire-resistant caulking to designated areas to maintain fire barriers and prevent the spread of fire. Ensure that caulking materials meet fire safety codes and standards. Inspect and repair existing caulking to maintain effective fire resistance. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of punch press machines. Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with equipment and materials. Report major malfunctions or equipment failures to the maintenance team. Quality Control: Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results. Document and report any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
