Position Overview The Stormwater Compliance Manager will oversee stormwater management programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management and will involve direct interactions with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to promote best practices in stormwater compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil/environmental engineering and a passion for environmental compliance. Essential Duties and Accountabilities Develop, implement, and oversee stormwater compliance programs ensuring adherence to all regulations. Conduct inspections and audits of stormwater systems to verify compliance with applicable permits and standards. Prepare reports and documentation related to stormwater management activities and compliance status for internal and external stakeholders. Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding stormwater management practices and compliance issues. Coordinate with regulatory agencies on stormwater-related permits and compliance activities. Lead training sessions for staff and clients on stormwater best management practices (BMPs). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of stormwater regulations and emerging industry trends. Assist in the preparation of proposals and contract documents related to stormwater compliance projects. Collaborate closely with clients to address stormwater management needs and requirements. Coordinate schedules, manage tasks, and provide mentorship to junior team members and field technicians Effectively manage relationships with new and existing clients. Ability to build future book of business with new and existing clients. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in stormwater management, compliance, or related field. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations. Experience conducting inspections and assessments for stormwater systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for stormwater management and compliance. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. Must be able to travel to various job sites. Physical Demands: Must be able to perform inspections in the field, occasionally lifting materials up to 20 pounds. The position may require walking over uneven terrain and exposure to various weather conditions. Work Conditions: Based both in an office environment and on-site at various project locations. Occasional travel may be required to visit client sites and attend meetings. Benefits The typical base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 annually, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid bi-weekly. Competitive salaries, end of year bonuses, profit sharing, and 401k. In this role you will help manage projects, developing proposals and will also be directly involved with public and private clients in marketing, client management, and project production.
