The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the store to meet objectives for customer service and store standards. Directs and supervises all Front-End employees, setting standards for service and performance, providing training and professional development. Responsible for ensuring an optimal customer experience by seeing that standards for customer service, cleanliness, and sales floor presentation are being met, implementing strategies to improve the customer experience. In absence of Department Head, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supervising and directing the work of department staff. Provides support to Front End during peak periods or when scheduled conflicts arise. Supervises/directs Department Heads in absence of Store Manager. Works collaboratively with store management team to achieve the goals of this cooperatively governed triple-bottom-line company.
