Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (w/ Meal Prep Support) Location: Rye Beach, NH 03871 (with travel to New York & California residences) Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week) Proposed Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $25–35/hour based on experience. Requirements: Non-smoker, valid driver’s license with clean record, pass high-level background check, reliable transportation (family vehicle provided for on-duty driving). Proposed Schedule: Monday–Friday, Approximately 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Occasional weekend coverage with advance notice. Flexibility for travel and extended hours during family events or trips. Description: We are a dynamic, blended family with two young children (ages 3.5 and 5), plus two older children (11 and 15) who visit regularly from California. Our family travels frequently, including internationally, and maintains multiple homes (NH, NY, and CA). We have a full-time nanny with a rotating schedule every 2 weeks, but we are looking for a strong, proactive house manager to help us stay organized, handle logistics, manage household operations, and provide family support. We also have a sweet white golden retriever who is about 85 pounds. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving household, enjoys building systems, and can balance professionalism with warmth and discretion. Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization -Maintain organization systems across closets, pantries, and storage. -Reset and tidy common areas daily, ensuring the home is ready for guests and cleaners. -Manage household calendar, appointments, and scheduling needs. -Conduct seasonal swaps of clothing, décor, bedding, etc. -Stock multiple homes and prepare for family arrivals or events. -Coordinate vendors and service providers (landscapers, cleaners, contractors, etc.). -Support special projects (toy organization, holiday prep, family events). Inventory & Errands -Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies. -Manage orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.). -Run errands: groceries, managing returns, dry cleaning, gifts, packages, mail, etc. Meal Preparation -Prep and cook healthy, balanced meals/snacks (kid- and adult-friendly). -Pack lunches or snacks; support kids’ nutrition with simple, wholesome options. -Grocery shop for fresh food and meal-related items. -Keep the kitchen tidy and stocked. Laundry & Linen Care -Wash, fold, and organize laundry (primary responsibility when nanny is off-duty). -Iron, steam, and prepare outfits as needed. -Rotate bedding, towels, and household linens. Pet Care -Feed and walk family dog, refill water bowls. -Schedule and coordinate vet or grooming appointments. -Keep pet supplies stocked and organized. Family Support & Child Assistance -Assist with school/activity pickups and occasional drop-offs. -Provide afternoon/evening support: snack prep, quiet play, dinner, bath, bedtime routine. -Arrange playdates and support activity logistics. -Engage with children in interactive, developmentally supportive ways (reading, play, etc.). Travel & Estate-Level Oversight -Prepare homes in NY/CA for family arrivals (e.g. stocking, organizing, light set-up). -Accompany family on some trips (domestic and international), assisting with logistics. -Serve as a point of contact for vendors and extended family when needed. Administrative & Personal Support -Assist with travel planning, family scheduling, and logistics. -Manage family calendars and reminders. -Help coordinate events, appointments, and guest prep. -Research and enroll kids in activities, camps, or programs. The Eames Institute is in search of a Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance of our 15,000-square-foot (and growing) campus in Richmond, CA. Reporting to the Senior Director of Properties, this role is responsible for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our staff, guests, and collections. The Facilities Technician will play a key role in maintaining the overall safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of our campus, which currently operates out of two buildings and will soon expand into a third. The ideal candidate is self-driven and energized by the opportunity to maintain and support one of the world’s most significant Eames collections. *** Learn more and apply at: www.eamesinstitute.org *** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain Facilities, Grounds and Equipment • Unlock and open the main building at the beginning of the daily shift. • Serve as point person for all Richmond facilities-related contractors and vendors, coordinating with the Senior Director of Properties on scheduling and overseeing services provided. • Tend to overall maintenance of the property, which includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R), electrical, plumbing, carpentry, custodial, and grounds activities, adhering to maintenance schedules for equipment. • Ensure excellent standard of cleanliness throughout the buildings, executing on routine janitorial cleaning duties and other cleaning tasks as they arise. • Complete inventory and supply orders in accordance with the Senior Director of Properties and Senior Director of Operations. • Provide trash management, including staging trash containers for pick-up. • Secure and lock the buildings at the end of the daily shift. • Maintain updated SDS sheets for the facility.  Provide Facilities Support to Onsite Staff • Ensure smooth daily operation of property and respond to staff needs and requests with thorough execution. • Assist the Collections team with the moving and arranging of Collections pallets and items. • Serve as point person for shipping and receiving, including communication and proper storage for incoming objects. • Be available for infrequent after-hours emergencies. • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks.
