Line Cook (Brooklyn)

*** MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION*** Baba's Pierogies is looking for an experienced line cook. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen. Our company is looking for someone who is capable of following recipes exactly and has the skill to plate neat and quickly. It is essential that our line cook possess proficient sautéing skills and timing, our customers expect their orders to be served within a short time frame (5-10 minutes order times are required when working on the line). Candidate will learn to make our handmade dumplings, forming them to the perfect shape and making them quick to order. All kitchen staff should be able to work all stations and will be required to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including end of night cleaning and dishes. We are a small friendly staff with high expectations for quality. Qualified Candidate Requirements: · Proficient knife skills · Knowledge of health code (NYC Food Handlers License) · Sauté skills · 2 years line experience · Can lift 50lbs · Must be able to follow instructions · Experienced kitchen prep · Recipe replication · Keep clean station · Open/available work schedule · Committed/Hard working · 1 year work commitment
