As part of the team, this position is responsible for design and layout of Advertisements and Editorial in our neighborhood newspapers. This work must be done in a timely manner that meets the needs of our advertising clients and internal press schedules. The ability to take full responsibility of all of our publications weekly by building ads, flowing in classifieds/legals/editorial and prepress preparation. Another function of the role is the production of special projects on deadline while maintaining other job duties. The Part-Time Production Artist works closely with the sales staff to create, modify, and update advertisements in time to meet weekly/monthly advertising deadlines. This position also works to compile editorials from freelance writers and news-wire sites. Wage: $ 25 hourly, DOE Days and Hours: 20 to 25 hours a week Monday – Friday - 5 hours, daily schedule has room for flexibility to be agreed upon during hiring process. Estimated range to be within 10 AM to 7 PM. This schedule can be revisited depending on deadlines and workloads.
