We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with small office secretarial and management skills to join our employer-side labor and employment practice. Our matters include employment litigation, state and federal labor relations, and general client advice. This is not a paralegal position. It involves legal secretarial support and general office administration. The position will provide administrative support to attorneys and manage various legal and office management tasks. It is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our practice, requiring a combination of administrative skills, executive assistance, and effective communication. Responsibilities include reception and intake (as the public-facing support staff), executive administrative support (such as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, remaining aware of individuals' workflow and preferences); basic legal secretarial support (such as document service, court filings, court clerk interaction), office facility maintenance (including office area cleanliness, supplies, organization); case file management (maintaining electronic case files, reviewing incoming documents, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible); assistance with client administration (intake, billing and payments); attention to detail (the ability to draft, proofread, review and edit documents accurately); and regular attendance (including timely arrival for work and the ability to work a weekly schedule without excessive personal absences). An ideal candidate would be familiar with Clio, One Legal, and other case management and court-filing platforms. This is an on-site position. Our office is in South Napa near American Canyon and Fairfield. Pay is dependent on experience, with preference for someone with legal secretarial and legal office management work.
